MEDCO fuels innovation and empowers the passionate and innovative Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering students from ESIB-USJ. Together, we are embarking on a pioneering initiative: Sustainable Water Management for Car Wash Stations at Service Stations. This project goes beyond merely improving car wash efficiency, it aims to redefine the future of the service station industry while steering Lebanon toward a more sustainable tomorrow. This collaboration is a testament to our belief in the potential of youth-driven innovation. In this initiative, the ESIB-USJ students will explore, design, and propose advanced solutions for wastewater treatment and reuse, applying innovative approaches to enhance efficiency and environmental performance at MEDCO service stations. This project will contribute to Lebanon's progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are talking about: -SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. Every drop counts! The initiative aims to ensure that water is managed carefully and sustainably. - SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. Innovation is essential for a cleaner tomorrow, and we are committed to fostering it. - SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. Promoting sustainability in everyday practices is vital, and our initiative is designed to reflect that commitment. MEDCO takes concrete steps daily toward achieving specific SDGs as well as empowering the future leaders of sustainability. We aim to equip these young innovators with the skills and experience necessary to prioritize sustainability in their careers. In particular, we would like to recognize the outstanding dedication and ingenuity of USJ students, Cyrill Bassil, Myriam Fares, Lea Sarkis and their advisor Ms. Renalda El Samra. Their hard work, innovative thinking, and commitment to sustainability are the driving forces behind this initiative. By applying their expertise and creativity, they are developing practical solutions that will have a lasting impact on water conservation and environmental responsibility.
