“Light Up Our Community” brings back hope to the beating heart of Lebanon

He said in his speech: “We are launching today’s initiative in cooperation with Medco, which will provide incentives to owners of generators and buildings that have been involved in the initiative. I also thank the local community support program funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which supplied and installed 500 LED lighting devices in Beirut’s most affected streets after the explosion of the port in 2020”.
In her turn, Ms. Michelle Shammas, chief innovation officer at Medco, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, saying: “Our dream is for Beirut to live and to remain alive all the time. Thanks to rebirth Beirut we are able to give back to our community and support our capital”

Al-Rami added: I thank Mr. Fernaine on behalf of our sector and all the restaurants and pubs of the city.
The closing speech was given by the Governor of Beirut, Judge Marwan Abboud who considered that ” the emergence of these initiatives come is due to the weakness and absence of the state. Governor Abboud described Fernaine to be a super dynamic person for brining many initiatives to the town and to restore confidence to Beirut, which we love.
He and his team never stop working and achieving a challenge after another and we feel so proud to have people like him in our city” .
