A brighter road for a brighter Lebanon

On Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, MEDCO illuminated New Jdeideh Street and Roundabout, Mar Takla Street and Roundabout as part of the Light Up your Street Initiative with Rebirth Beirut boosted by the strong will of Jdeideh-Bauchrieh-Al-Sed Municipality’s President Mr. Auguste Bakhos.

The illuminated streets are all part of the neighborhood where our MEDCO journey began in 1910 and where it continues for the century to come.

As the Christmas season begins, these brighter streets welcome families, and expats returning home, bringing warmth, safety, comfort and a festive spirit to the community.

This initiative marks our expansion beyond Beirut and after Baabda’s lighting as we continue working toward our long-term goal of improving lighting, safety and a healthy night life across neighborhoods throughout Lebanon.
